Independent oversight of your digital marketing in Vietnam

One continuous point of contact who reads the Vietnamese market, challenges the plans, and reports to headquarters in English.

Short answer

Vietnam Digital Marketing Advisory & Oversight is a monthly retainer at USD 3,000 with 20 advisory hours. Month one is spent measuring; from there MWY challenges plans, oversees up to three Vietnamese agencies or partners, reallocates budget across channels and reports monthly in English. We do not run ads, manage accounts, or take commission from agencies or platforms.

Who this is for

  • You sell in Vietnam through partners you cannot see

A distributor, a local agency, or a country team reports results you have no independent way to verify.

  • Headquarters needs reporting it can act on

Numbers arrive in a format nobody at head office can compare against other markets.

  • You are about to scale spend in an unfamiliar market

Platform mix, marketplace dynamics and advertising rules in Vietnam differ enough that assumptions from other markets do not transfer.

Three phases

  1. Month 1

    Measure

Assess the digital ecosystem for your category, competitor presence, your agency or distributor, tracking and data. Ends with a current-state report and a 90-day roadmap in English.

  2. Months 2–3

    Why

Trace the causes, reallocate budget across channels, standardise tracking, KPIs and reporting so every party is measured the same way.

  3. From month 4

    Yield

Oversee execution, optimise, report on a fixed rhythm, with a short monthly briefing on platform changes, advertising regulation and competitor moves.

Frequently asked

Should we hire someone in-house instead?

To run the work, yes, and MWY does not replace that person. The role MWY fills sits above it: reading the agency report before you do, and saying which number actually moved. That role is twenty hours a month, not a full-time job. It also stops working the moment one person owns both the spend and the verdict on it. Your team executes. MWY signs off.

How do we cancel?

A 12-month term, with the first three months non-cancellable except for material breach. From month four, at least 30 days written notice; the contract ends on the last day of the month in which that notice period expires.

Will MWY run our campaigns or manage our accounts?

No. It is written into the contract, so it binds us as much as you: if MWY both ran the campaigns and graded them, our reporting would be worthless.

Can you help us choose a Vietnamese agency?

Criteria and a shortlist are included in the retainer. Running a full pitch process — brief, evaluation, scoring — is a separate module.

What if our Vietnamese team does not speak English well?

That is part of why the role exists. We work in Vietnamese locally and report in English to headquarters, so nothing is lost or softened in translation.

Does MWY take commission from the agencies it recommends?

No, and it is written into the contract. When you need execution we shortlist three vetted options with the criteria to judge them, then oversee whoever you choose.
