Pricing

The fee is on this page, not behind a call.

We publish the fee so you can weigh it against your own budget, then decide whether a conversation is worth having.

Short answer

MWY publishes the fee for all three engagements; anything beyond the standard scope is quoted separately before you sign. For international companies: Vietnam Market Research from USD 9,000 for six weeks on one product line; Go-to-Market Strategy from USD 15,000, with the market research built in and the final scope agreed before work starts; and Vietnam Marketing Advisory & Oversight at USD 5,000 a month, with a full digital marketing audit as month one and oversight of up to three agencies or partners from month two. The same fee applies to every client, and we take no commission from agencies, platforms or vendors.

Three services, three fees

Vietnam Market Research

from$9,000per project

The decisions MWY helps you make

  • Whether Vietnam is worth a budget at all, and how large
  • Which segment to enter first, and at what price point
  • Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or both
  • Which competitors actually matter here, and which are noise

What you receive

  • A 1-page summary for headquarters
  • Market size and structure for your category, with sources named
  • Buyer profiles and how the purchase decision is actually made
  • The price range the market accepts, and what sits at each level
  • Competitor presence by channel, including who is not here yet
  • The partner and distributor landscape for your category
  • A written recommendation: whether to enter, and which segment and city to start with
  • What we could not establish, and what it would take to establish it

Scope

Category
One product line, or a category with several — defined with you
Research method
Desk research, platform and marketplace data, interviews with people who work in the category
Geography
National, with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City reported separately where your category behaves differently
Consumer fieldwork
Surveys and focus groups are not in the standard scope. Where a decision needs them, we write the brief and quote them separately, or introduce a research firm and take no commission
Language
Delivered in English; interviews conducted in Vietnamese

Go-to-Market Strategy

from$15,000per project

  • Whether Vietnam is worth a budget at all, and how large
  • Which segment to enter first, and at what price point
  • Which channel to enter on first, and what it needs to work

  • A 1-page summary for headquarters
  • Market size and structure for your category, with sources named
  • Buyer profiles and how the purchase decision is actually made
  • The price range the market accepts, and your positioning within it
  • Competitor presence by channel, including who is not here yet

  • What we could not establish, and what it would take to establish it

The channels relevant to your category, sequenced — not all of them at once
Partners
Criteria and a shortlist. Running a full pitch process is quoted separately
Execution
MWY does not execute. The plan is built to be handed to your team or an agency

Vietnam Marketing Advisory & Oversight

$5,000per month

The decisions MWY helps you make

  • Approve or reject this month’s agency plan
  • Which channel the budget moves from, and to
  • Which tests are worth running and which to stop
  • Which tools to buy, keep or cut
  • What stays in-house and what goes outside

What you receive

  • Month one: the full audit — scorecard, data quality review, waste by channel, 90-day roadmap
  • Every month after: a Measure → Why → Yield report in English
  • A one-page summary for headquarters
  • Meeting notes with named owners and deadlines
  • Hours used
  • Budget allocation reviewed by channel
  • Tracking health check results
  • Commentary on each agency’s plan and reporting
  • A market briefing: platform changes, advertising regulation, competitor moves

Scope

Month one
A full digital marketing audit: four weeks, view-only access, three interviews and a 120-minute presentation to your leadership
Advisory and oversight hours
20 hours a month from month two, covering both: meetings with your team and your agencies, review of agency plans and reports, budget and tracking checks, plan challenge and correspondence. The monthly report and the headquarters summary are prepared outside these hours
Meetings
Two 60-minute sessions with your Vietnam team or partner, one 60-minute session with headquarters in your time zone
Oversight
Up to three Vietnamese agencies or partners, joining their meetings as a language and context bridge
Document review
Up to six major documents a month. More are quoted separately
Response between meetings
Email or messaging, within one business day, Vietnam business hours. Not a hotline: a question that needs analysis goes to the next meeting
Agency selection
Criteria and a shortlist are included. Running a full pitch is quoted separately
Meeting in person
Online by default. Travel outside Hanoi is charged separately

These fees apply to international companies entering or operating in Vietnam. Vietnamese companies have their own fee, published on the Vietnamese version of this site.

Quoted and invoiced in US dollars.

The break-even arithmetic

You are not buying advisory hours. You are buying better decisions on a large budget. The arithmetic below shows how small the fee is against the money being decided.

Media spend plus agency fees

Nothing you type here is stored.

Improvement needed to break even = MWY fee per year ÷ digital budget per year

MWY fee per year
$60,000
Digital budget per year
$900,000

Improvement needed to break even

6.7%

This is also the MWY fee as a share of the budget we oversee — two readings of the same number. Our rule: the fee should not exceed 15%.

7% or less. Put another way, every dollar of MWY fee sits beside more than fourteen dollars of budget it helps decide.

Improvement can come from: cutting wasted spend, reallocating budget across channels, reducing or restructuring agency fees, lifting conversion rate, dropping unused tools.

This is break-even arithmetic, not a promise of results. MWY never commits to a level of improvement.

Two questions, two different jobs

The fastest way to tell whether MWY is what you need.

“How much to run our Facebook ads?”

You need someone to execute

That calls for a good agency rather than an advisor. We will put forward three vetted options and take no commission.

“We spend USD 75,000 a month on digital in Vietnam. Is it allocated correctly?”

You need someone to judge

This is the question MWY sells.

Beyond the standard scope

Another brand, a fourth agency, a dashboard built, an agency selection run, board reporting — the scope is adjusted to what you need, and the proposal names each part, its hours and its price before you sign. Proposals are written within three business days and are valid for 30 days.

Terms of the monthly engagement

Market Research and Go-to-Market Strategy are single projects with their own terms: 50% on signature, 50% on the final presentation, and no monthly commitment. Everything below applies to Vietnam Marketing Advisory & Oversight.

Term
12 months.
Minimum commitment
The first 3 months, non-cancellable except for material breach.
Cancellation
From month 4, with at least 30 days written notice.
Payment
In advance within the first 5 business days of each month. Prices exclude VAT and related taxes.
Unused hours
Do not roll over to the following month.
Results
We commit to process, measurement and transparent reporting. We do not commit to an absolute revenue figure.
Independence
MWY takes no commission from any agency, platform or vendor it recommends. This is written into the contract.

Questions about the fee

Why is there no cheaper package?

A cheaper package would have to cut hours, and fewer hours is not enough to read the numbers and challenge a plan properly. Companies spending less than USD 33,500 a month on digital are better served by the free checklist and sample report, and by coming back when the budget gives oversight room to pay for itself.

Do you discount for the first clients?

No. We want the fee on this page to be the real fee, for the first client as much as the twentieth. Our first three clients are asked to sign a clause letting MWY write up the engagement, and may decline with no change in fee.

What happens to unused hours?

They do not roll over. The retainer buys availability and a steady rhythm, not a stock of hours — rolling over turns an advisory relationship into a timesheet.

Do you take commission from agencies or platforms?

No, and it is written into the contract. If you find that we have, you may terminate immediately.

Does the price include tax?

No. Every fee on this page excludes VAT and related taxes. Your accountant should advise on invoicing and tax treatment for a contract with a Vietnamese entity.

What if we need more than the standard scope?

The scope is adjusted to the requirement — another brand, a fourth agency, a dashboard built, an agency selection run — and the proposal names each part, its hours and its price before you sign. Parts can be added at any time and removed from month four with 30 days notice.
